D2 Pick’em ("we") is a fan game run by D2 CFB Spotlight. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Email accounts: if you sign up with email we store your email address, display name and a securely hashed password (never the password itself). We don’t send marketing email.
- Account info from X: when you sign in with X we store your X user ID, @handle, display name and profile picture. We don't store your X login credentials or access token, and we never post on your behalf.
- Game activity: your picks, tiebreaker guesses and Bracket Challenge picks, used to run the game and leaderboards. Your display name (and X handle/avatar if you sign in with X) and record appear on the public leaderboards.
- Technical data: a login cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser) for security and troubleshooting.
- Visit counts: we count page views and where visits come from (for example X or Google) using our own anonymous daily ID. We don't store IP addresses for this, and no third-party analytics are used.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from partner sites.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information. We don't send marketing messages.
Data sources
Schedules, scores, team names and logos come from publicly available sports data and belong to their respective owners.
Your choices
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and picks by messaging D2 CFB Spotlight on X.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
